The possibilities of generating energy from the treatment of waste were considered.

The meeting, which organized under the leadership of rector of the Tashkent state university of economics, professor Kungratbay Sharipov, was attended by vice-rector for Academic affairs Mansur Eshov, vice-rector for Research and Innovation Gulnora Abdurakhmonova, vice-rector for Internationalization Adham Xudoykulov, Nobel Prize winner and initiator of establishing of the Center of New Climate Innovations (NCI), professor Rae Kwon Chung, director of the Cooperation Center for International Relations and Politics of the National Institute of Green Technologies Jeryon Song, head of «Envelops and Co» Han Sin Yun and director of the Center for New Climate Innovations (NCI) Sanjar Goibnazarov.

The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss and analyze the prospects of attracting investments in green technology sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan.

According to the agenda, rector of Tashkent state university of economics Kungratbay Sharipov performed his speech, thanked the guests for the visit and introduced the participants of the event gave the floor to professor Rae Kwon Chung.

In turn, prof. Rae Kwon Chung once again thanked for the cooperation, introduced the visiting specialists from South Korea and emphasized the role of specialists in future projects.

During the meeting, the rector of Tashkent state university of economics, prof. Kungratbay Sharipov told about the current reforms of this field, which carried out in our university, including a competition for a project on solar panels and selection of the best start-up ideas.

The measures to develop the green economy of Uzbekistan were discussed at the event and the following proposals leading to the solution of the problem were put forward:

Consideration of the possibility of converting waste into energy together with the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Development of the green economy strategy of Uzbekistan within the Center for New Climate Innovations (NCI);

In this way contribute to the policy of «green» economy of Uzbekistan.

After discussing the proposals, professor Rae Kwon Chung mentioned that a memorandum of understanding between the NCI and the Korea National Institute for Green Technologies is expected to be signed soon, and also offered to involve researchers to organize the project.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to meet again in the near future to organize a working group and draw up a road map of the areas for cooperation proposed above.
